City Thread accelerates projects that help communities build what they need, when they need it.

For communities that move you.

In 2022, City Thread began when three people came together with the same question: Why does it take so long to make changes to city streets and spaces?

Projects take too long to happen, and delays hurt our communities. City Thread uses a proven playbook to overcome obstacles and deliver vital place-based projects faster, more effectively, and more efficiently than ever before. From transit equity to quality housing, we believe every resident has the right to access economic opportunity, enjoy vibrant public places, and actively shape the future of their community.

Testimonials

Our partners mean the world to us.

  • City Thread’s approach to equitable advocacy is commendable. They’re definitely thought leaders in building mobility infrastructures that support all the residents within a community and in creating meaningful change in cities throughout the U.S. It’s an honor to partner with them.

CHARLES BROWN, Founder and CEO, Horizon 54

  • City Thread's messaging framework and guidance on focus groups and polling methodology was instrumental in ensuring that the City and Bike Cleveland had the data to understand what level of support residents had for mobility infrastructure and what messages would strengthen that support.

JACOB VANSICKLE, Executive Director, Bike Cleveland

  • From nitty gritty everyday problem-solving to high-level, long term strategy, City Thread staff are invaluable as coaches and partners. Their breadth and depth of experience helped me make my way through the highs and lows of advocacy, ultimately helping accomplish an unprecedented amount of urban trail network implementation in Providence.
